We Will Never Forget 9-11-2001

We will never forget

On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Almost 3,000 people were killed during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which triggered major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism and defined the presidency of George W. Bush.

We went through he office and got an account from our team members on where they were.

I was still in Bed on the 11th and my wife Janet, woke me to watch NTC’s Today Show coverage of the airplanes crashing into the twin towers of the World Trade Center.  My thoughts were how could this have happened? – Bob Fletcher

I was at work in Nebraska when we all huddled in the conference room to watch the horrific unfolding of events at the trade center, Pentagon. It was truly a tragic day followed by 3 days of eeary silence as all commercial flights were grounded for 3 days.
