Wow — what a great way to start a Wednesday morning.
Our bi-annual WATT meeting had a little bit of everything: business, leadership, gratitude, celebration, and the kind of real support that makes this group so special.
We started by thanking Dorie Morales for leading us over the past six months and Dyan Haugen for her amazing tenure on the board. I was also honored to be elected to lead this incredible group for the next six months, and I am truly excited for what is ahead.
We also took time to mourn with two of our WATT sisters — one grieving the loss of a spouse and another the loss of her aunt. It was a meaningful reminder that this group shows up for one another not only in business, but in life.
For Business Buzz, I shared a summary of the Buyer Types series I’m posting on LinkedIn every Tuesday and Thursday through September.
Then Monica gave us a fun update on how smoothly her cruise went and gave a big thank you to our awesome member Dyan Haugen for putting it all together. And yes — there was even a surprise engagement, which made the story even better.
Michell Brown followed with a reminder we all needed: mobility is queen. Her advice was clear — if we want to keep moving well, we need to pay attention to our glutes, spine, and shoulders.
And then we wrapped up with what WATT does so well. One member brought a business challenge to the group, and the ideas, experience, and generosity that poured out in response were incredible. That moment alone was such a strong reminder of the value in this room.
Smart women. Honest conversations. Real business support. That is WATT at its best.
I left energized, grateful, and proud to be part of it.
