According to the Market Pulse Q1-4 surveys, almost half of Business owners who sold their business in 2020 cited retirement as the main reason for selling with 16%. However, this varied greatly across the sectors (check out next week’s Acumen as actual reasons vary for business owners who sold for <$500k, $500k-$1MM, $1MM-$2MM, $2-$5MM and $5MM-$50MM).
