What an amazing Kentucky Derby WATT social last night.
Thank you to Dyan Haugen and Ginger Clayton for creating such a beautiful and welcoming evening with perfect weather, fabulous decorations, and wonderful hospitality. Dawn’s delicious bites kept everyone happy, the mint juleps were in full supply, and the energy all night was just fantastic.
One of the most meaningful parts of the evening was seeing WATT sisters who have retired or stepped into new chapters, while also enjoying deeper conversations and future plans with current members.
The stories behind the hat choices were inspiring too — from Barbara Kaplan’s business plan to Wendy Look’s actual Kentucky Derby hat from Shannon Fox’s Kiss Me Kate more than ten years ago. Those personal touches made the evening even more memorable.
And special congratulations go to Karianne Munsted for the most outrageous hat, Elaine Ferguson for the hat most likely to scare horses, and Ginger Clayton for the most elegant hat.
