Electric Energy

Electric Energy

Wow, what an energetic morning at WATT.

From the moment I walked in, the room was alive. The vibe was strong, the conversations were flowing, and the energy was absolutely contagious.

Shannon Fox brought both heart and style as our presenter, sharing pieces of her life journey along with beautiful Derby hats and fabulous blazers. And I have to say, I am still a huge fan of the Oo La La brand, especially since so many of you have complimented my jackets over the years.

Julie Hinman launched Biz Buzz with an insightful discussion on compound medications, along with some of the behind-the-scenes political maneuvering that shapes that space.

Juliet Peters tackled one of the biggest issues in a business sale: landlord approval for a lease assignment. Without it, a deal may not get done. Such an important reminder in the world of business transitions. And one unforgettable phrase from the morning: don’t be a dickey.

Karianne Mundstedt beautifully tied in the WATT sister theme by referencing a presentation our own Lorraine Tallman gave last quarter on the dyes in Skittles. That led to Kari sharing her family’s journey into gardening and making their own food. It brought back sweet memories of canning with my mother and grandmother — and the joy of fresh food all winter long.

Kay McDonald closed with stories about helping her niece prepare for a trip to Bali, which certainly sparked a little travel envy.

Even after the meeting ended, the conversations kept going. It was one of those mornings filled with laughter, learning, connection, and the kind of energy that stays with you all day.
